LuLu's Lifelines

We are all in this together

Energy

Energy does not die, it simply transforms into something else and goes somewhere else. Letting go of a loved one is sometimes very difficult. In my case Mom had been in a dementia facility for a few years and it was welcomed to see her escape that place even if it was one of the better ones. I could write all day about memory care places and their problems..not today. This about peacefully making that transition and helping your loved one let go. Many of our elders will hold on and not want to go leaving family without their watchful eye. I have found that verbalizing permission to surrender their spirit is important. Three weeks before Mom finally let go the Chaplain and I held “Last Rites” as mom was Catholic. We had communion and sang. Ritual is paramount to humans comfort no matter what religion is practiced, or if there is no religion, any family tradition will do. We all must become familiar and comfortable with the final walk we all must take. I urge you to come to terms with your family members passing as well as your own. Some like the idea of a “heavenly” destination. Some believe reincarnation where we come back as someone or something else. I don’t know, but I DO know we are matter made up of molecules of vibrant energy that never ceases!

  1. We are all the eyes and ears of God while in this physical lifetime. And the passing of each generation gives way to the new. Life is how God becomes aware of his creation the Universe. And with each big bang the universal cycle brings all of us closer to being born again. Your eyes will close in dying and open again in birth. Our energy never ceases but rather is infinite.

  2. I love this! I know I’ll be coming back to it the future for comfort. And I’ll be reading it to my best friend!
