Fibromyalgia …is it real or all in one’s head? The best selling author Louise Hay BELIEVES ALL disease, hence pain, is created with the emotions. Maybe true or not, but pain is pain regardless, and how do we cope?
Because, I also have fibromyalgia and arthritis that plagues me most days, I have researched and experimented with many protocols. Some work, some work for awhile, some don’t, but quality of life insists I push onward. Mostly I have discovered that exercise helps move some inflammation and flexible joints and muscles just simply work better. The caveat is if I overdue (it’s a fine balance) I am in increased pain the night of or next day. Marijuana is an herb I use for sleep and pain, and is often helpful, with no worries of long term use or side effects. Alleve is a magical capsule I will take if my symptoms are more intense than normal, because I use it seldomly it is a godsend.
Whatever cross you bear; it is good to remember that some people you interact with also have a burden of not feeling their best that day. Staying kind and patient with others is my constant reminder to myself and when I hurt it makes it difficult to execute.
