LuLu's Lifelines

We are all in this together

Authenticity

Transparency, being authentic, honesty, bravery, these words as part of your practicing life will make you free. How often do we alter our truth to fit in, or assuage another’s feelings? When you speak  your truth you have nothing to hide, nothing to remember about what you might have said. Be You! Early childhood training sometimes makes it difficult as it’s very uncomfortable to tell another what you need especially if it’s not what they want to hear. I do believe holding in your truth will create emotional and physical Dis-Ease. Of course we were taught by our parents to be polite, don’t create waves, stay silent. Real change begins with speaking your truth in kindness and gentleness, not only in your personal relationships but for the world at large. Evil reigns when Good stays silent. I am not purporting you never compromise with your partner or do something the kids want to do when you would rather be doing something else. This is not about selfishness, it is about speaking up when you need to be heard for your own sacred boundaries and for your own emotional protection.

Let me throw in a disclaimer, I strive to learn to be what I write about…I am Not there yet.
